-ABSENSE MAKES THE HEART GROW FONDER-
·         It means that we miss someone or something more when we areaway from it or don’t have it.

-ACTION SPEAKS LOUDER THEAN WORD-
·         What someone does is more important than what he says he will do.

-ALL GLITTERS IS NOT GOLD-
·         This means tings don’t have to be bright, beautiful or expensive to be of value.

-GIVE THE DEVIL HIS DUE-
·         We praise someone for his achievements – no matter how much we dislike or resent him.

-GREAT MINDS THINGS ALIKE-
·         This is humorous proverb that suggests that were both very clever and intelligent people.

-HARP ON ONE STRING-
·         When someone is accused of harping on one string he or she speaks or write about one subject, until it becomes redundant and boring.

-HEALTH IS BETTER THAN WEALTH-
·         It’s pretty obvious what the saying means:  It’s better to have your health than to be rich.

-IF PIGS COULD FLY-
·         This means only one thing…that is pig could fly then any manner of strange and miraculous things were possible

-IF YOU CAN’T BITE, DON’T SHOW YOUR TEETH-
·         It says that if you have complaint but can’t do anything about it except shout, you rather stay silent.
